ENGLISH
I was born in Rome in 1963.
In many ways the Light was part of my life. I remained fascinated by observing the enormous daylight lamps that my grandfather used to take photos. Lamps mounted on satellite dishes made from old stoves. I thumbed through his albums, photographs of his life, who entered the mine. Obvious that the first gift was a camera and was actually a Polaroid. Attending technical schools entered the theater company of the students. Perform a play by Bertolt Brecht: The Exception and the Rule. It was my luck because by then I started to attend the world of theater, whose side “technical” fascinated me much more than is strictly artistic. So at 16 I left for my first summer tour, to help the lighting technician.
In just three years, after attending courses, alongside the masters of cinema, theater and television, winning a master’s degree in the United States on the lighting in photography and theater, I came to draw the lights for the greatest interpreters of it: from Andrea Camilleri To Edmo Fenoglio, to go on television working with G. Ferrari. And Krzysztof Zanussi, Werner Schroeter, Rainer W. Fassbinder, F. Zeffirelli. And the photo, step by step, remained with me. The first Nikon, an FM gives me great satisfaction: my photos are used for the backstage told in the form of “report” of a film by Lucio Fulci. I never stopped to look and study, and thanks to the theater and cinema, to travel. Thus, “creating” light as a main job, I tried to stop it with pictures and in my heart. Loving people, I started working for the reportage. Over the years I took in Africa, America, traveling alone with my Jeep in the desert between California and Nevada, and then in China, Taiwan. Many photos have been part of exhibitions, has been published in National Geographic and tour operators catalogs. After attending specialized courses and coaching from a De Sisti Light and G. Bottone, to V. Storaro, I started to “teach” what I knew. Not one-day workshop or two, but state courses a year, with dozens of students, now photographers and lights technicians of film and theater. I have co-written a book, “illumination technique in photography“. The female nude, fashion and glamour came into my head a little later. I have known the masters of photography in that area, I worked with them. It was the era of the centerfold taken with an optical bench, there were only the prints of digital negatives, left for error. And I remember the slow, professionalism, willingness with \ which they built the sets. Every time we tried the idea, we draw the poses and with them the scenery. I consider, I have always considered a miracle when a woman pays her attention and the beauty of her body to my camera lens. And that is why I try desperately not to disappoint, first of all “my” Woman, and then myself. Even in photographs for the international journals with whom I collaborated and published (from Interview with Penthouse, to pass to the latest publications of the group Raymond) my photos try to never be discounted, usual, rhetorical or,worse, vulgar.I have a huge, endless respect and endless gratitude to my models.
Today my target, with MODSTUDIO® (my company with my friend Luca Mosconi), is to fashion: I think it is the only type of photography which allows you to search more and better than photography fine art that still continues to be my love. So, I created and realized, catalogs, reports and editorials published in national and international publications.

Toujours.
Je dirais, paraphrasant un photographe prometteur, mon jeune ami, quand je pense à me il y a trente ans cela : ” ; Il a dû disparaître, et that’; s comment il went.”
